2022-2023 PTO 1st Semester Meeting Dates

September 21, 2022 - October 12, 2022 - November 9, 2022

West Deptford High School PTO would like to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year.  We extend an invitation to all parents to attend our meetings and get involved.  Without parent participation, we will not be able to provide these great activities for the students.  Our meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. in the WDHS Media Center.  We meet the second Wednesday of every month (With the exception of our September meeting).  Our first meeting is on September 21, 2022, and we look forward to welcoming new members.  Additional meetings for 2nd Semester will be announced at a later date.

The PTO works to raise funds for several projects throughout the year - refreshments for Homecoming, scholarships for deserving graduates, and Project Graduation.  We also donate and help WDHS Clubs and Organizations as well as coordinate the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast and Senior Class Activities.   In order to provide these events for the students, we will be running a few fundraisers.  We are currently planning a Holiday Bazaar & Vendor Event(co-sponsored with the WDHS Choir Parents), planning a raffle in the future, a Spring Bazaar & Vendor Event (co-sponsored with WDHS Choir Parents), a Maui Ice Truck night and throughout the year a few Pat’s Pizza Nights.  We are relying on our members to help support these events.

Meeting dates and upcoming events will be posted on the school website calendar and posted on our Facebook page:  West Deptford High School PTO.  All upcoming events will be included in Dr. Gismondi’s Friday Eagle Newsletters. It is a great opportunity for you to volunteer as well as keep informed as to what is going on in our school.

We encourage you to support and participate in your PTO by joining for a nominal membership fee of $10.00.  Membership in the PTO does not require attendance at PTO meetings or events, although all are welcome to attend.  For your child to be eligible for a PTO Scholarship, membership of the parent or guardian is required.

In addition, we are in DIRE need of Underclassmen parents to join our board.  As you can see, we currently only have two board members, both of whom are Senior Parents.  If we do not get Underclassmen parents to join the board and take over next year, PTO will no longer exist after this year.  What that means for our students next year and beyond…the programs that PTO supports and provides for (ie refreshments at Homecoming, Project Graduation, etc) will either cease to exist or need to find other sponsorship.

All forms are located at the top of this page.  Please feel free to contact any of the Board Members with any questions.  Thank you in advance for your continued support.
