COLLEGE ADMISSION TESTING DATES

PSAT Test Date: Wednesday, October 19, 2016
Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) The PSAT will be administered AT SCHOOL to ALL SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS. Students do not need to sign up.
The PSAT is the official practice test for the SAT. It is also used to select students who may qualify for National Merit Scholarships.
- When you take the PSAT, you may participate in the Student Search Service which allows colleges to send you information about their various programs.
- The test is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes long and consists of Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing sections.
SAT TEST DATES: *October 1, *November 5, *December 3, January 21, March 11, *May 6, and *June 3, 2017

The dates with an * are offered at WEST DEPTFORD HIGH SCHOOL.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) TESTING
The 2017 AP Exams will be administered over two weeks in May: May 1 through 5 and May 8 through 12. Registration will begin in late February. All registrations are done through the Guidance Department.
ACT TEST DATES: September 10, October 22, December 10, February 11, April 8, June 10
Register on-line at www.actstudent.org Testing is held at Gloucester County College.
The ACTs are another college entrance test that students may take. This battery of tests is subject specific and some students score better on the ACTs compared with the SAT I. More information and registration materials are available from your counselor.
* All of these tests, except PSAT involve payment of a fee – the fee varies with the test.
Parents of students who have IEPs, 504 plans, or other special needs may wish to request special accommodations through the Collegeboard for any of the above tests. Students MUST be approved by the Collegeboard NOT WDHS for any testing accommodations, including extended time. Parents can go to https://www.collegeboard.org/students-with-disabilities for more information on the application process. Case managers and counselors are available for assistance in this process.
