2006 - 2010

2006

Mark Drummond became the new head coach of the boys team. The team finished the season 6-3 and placed 4th at the County Meet and 7th in the SJ Group 3 meet. Chris Wolff and Carl Lysaght were named 2nd Team All Colonial Conference and 2nd Team All County. Chris Wolff ran the fastest time of the season, 16:59 at Pennypacker Park.

 

2007

Carl Lysaght guided the team to a 6 - 3 record and qualification to their first State Meet since 2001 by placing 4th as a team in SJ Group 2. The girls team also finished 4th in SJ Group 2 and qualified for the State Meet. The girls were led by Meghan McGlinchey who gained 1st team All Conference, All County and All SJ Group 2 honors. Carl Lysaght received the same honors. Carl also ran the fastest time of the season, 16:27 at Pennypacker Park. The team also celebrated the first season running on their new home course located at WD Park. The conference meets are now split between WD Park and Pennypacker Park.

 

2008

The boys team was very balanced with the top runner position alternating between a number of individuals. The team ended the season with a 7 - 3 conference record. Freshman Phillip Palmer placed well in his first year of competition and has a promising future. The girls team experienced their best season in school history finishing with a 7-1 conference record and 2nd place finish in the SJ Group 2 Sectional Meet. Meghan McGlinchey set the course record at WD Park with a time of 18:57 and at Pennypacker Park with a time of 18:00. Meghan was named to the 1st team All Conference, All Group 2 South Jersey, All South Jersey team, and 3rd team All State team after finishing 2nd at the sectional meet, 2nd at the State meet, and 13th at the Meet of Champions. Other honor winners were Lauren McCole who was named 1st team All Conference and 2nd team All Group 2 South Jersey, Samantha Budd who was named 2nd team All Conference and 2nd team All Group 2 South Jersey, and Carlie Scott and Talia Brocco who were named 2nd team All Conference.

 

2009

The boys' team finished with a record of 7 wins and 3 losses in the conference, while the girls' finished with a record of 8 wins and 2 losses. Even with many new faces on both teams, the year was a very successful one. The highlight of the boys' season was the new WD Park course record for a WD boy which was set by Kevin Bond in a time of 18:43. On the girls' side, Samantha Budd, Millie Kipp, Jessica Stanek and Michelle Cullen all gained All-Conference honors. Samantha Budd was also named to the 2nd-Team All Group 2 SJ team. With many strong underclassmen returning on both sides, the teams look forward to the 2010 season.

 

2010

The boys' team finished with a record of 6 wins and 3 losses and finished 3rd in the Colonial Conference Liberty Division. The team was very young with 10 of the 13 team members being freshmen or newcomers to the sport. Highlights included a 2nd place team finish for our freshmen at the Six Flags Wild Safari Invite behind 2nd place finisher Ray Parsons, 5th place finisher Kevin Cianfarini, 8th place finisher Jonathon Ladner and 24th place finisher Tony Tran. At the SJTCA Frosh Meet, Parsons finished 3rd, Cianfarini placed 7th and Ladner placed 11th. Parsons also placed 9th overall at the Briarwood Invite, 14th overall at the Colonial Conference Meet (earning 2nd Team All Colonial Conference Liberty Division honors) and 19th overall at the South Jersey Group 2 Sectional Meet. Cianfarini placed 20th overall at the Colonial Conference Meet and 23rd at the Sectional Meet. The team has a bright future ahead of them.
